- Project Bar-B-Q - hosted by the Fat Man. An intense music think tank held annually that concentrates on advancing audio for games.
- Game Developers Conference - Annual get-together for game makers with many sessions specifically on game audio.

- GANG - Game Audio Network Guild - Professional organization formed in 2002 that focuses on educating and advancing Game Audio.
- IASIG - Interactive Audio Special Interest Group - Non profit organization that creates standards, white papers, and educational initiatives for interactive audio. This organization is an independent organization supervised by the Midi Manufacturers Association.
